Overview

Hilton Grand Vacations is seeking a Director of Engineering to partner with resort leadership in developing maintenance programs, managing budgeting, and driving operational excellence across our 829‑room resort. This role leads the engineering team, ensures safety and brand compliance, and supports the resort’s strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive engineering initiatives aligned with resort strategies.
• Conduct weekly walk‑throughs of resort towers to assess structures and mechanical/electrical/HVAC systems.
• Maintain safety, efficiency, and operation of all mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and related equipment.
• Assign routine maintenance tasks across public spaces, meeting rooms, guest rooms, outlets, back‑of‑house spaces, and grounds.
• Coordinate repairs, replacements, and renovation projects with maintenance technicians, ensuring completion standards.
• Update and maintain the Property Emergency Preparedness and Safety Awareness Plan(s) continuously.
• Ensure compliance with Hilton brand engineering standards, including preventive maintenance schedules.
• Manage inventory of operating supplies and enforce accurate purchasing procedures.
• Secure department assets and equipment, ensuring proper locking and storage.
• Partner with HR Business Partner to develop recruitment, performance management, and corrective action practices.
• Collaborate with Senior Leadership on reserve spend, capital projects, and annual budgeting.
• Participate in the MOD program as directed.
• Perform additional duties assigned by Senior Leadership.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 5+ years engineering experience in hotels or related industry.
• 5+ years in a leadership role in a similar environment.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.
• EPA – OSHA 10/30 – CPO‑CPR/AED certifications.
• HVAC certification.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English for communication with engineering staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred

• BA/BS bachelor’s degree.
