Overview
Synergy ECP is seeking an experienced Hardware Engineer proficient in analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutions to be responsible for ongoing mission-critical OCONUS field support. This work is on a new Prime Contract, and we are actively staffing for this opportunity. Responsibilities
- Provide hardware engineering expertise to analyze complex hardware systems, hardware design, architecture, network design, and other technical hardware issues.
- Procure and perform acceptance testing on equipment; provide hardware maintenance support, both preventative and remedial.
- Deploy, install, and implement hardware at CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Prepare specifications for hardware by analyzing documented and derived system requirements; conduct site surveys; prepare engineering plans and site Technical Design Packages.
- Organize and direct hardware installations; configure computers, networking devices and peripheral equipment; prepare site installation and test reports.
- Ensure problems are properly identified and solutions satisfy user requirements; prepare reports and recommendations on existing and emerging hardware technologies.
- Provide input to the hardware components of system design, including end-user devices, servers, networking devices, data storage devices, and specialized processors.
Requirements
- Seven (7) years of experience as a Hardware Engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university; five (5) years of additional Hardware Engineer experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
- Prepare functional requirements and specifications for hardware acquisitions; analyze hardware specifications and system/subsystem requirements to document practical designs.
- Assess and document site network configurations and site-unique requirements; develop hardware installation schedules; train site personnel in proper use of hardware.
- Prepare installation guides, field test procedures, troubleshooting guides, and Technical Design Packages; prepare as-built drawings and installation/test reports.
- Configure computers, communication devices, and peripheral equipment; organize hardware installations across multiple sites; design and verify test harnesses and simulated interfaces.
- Analyze and recommend hardware specifications for project-unique or modified commercial hardware; assist with system simulations and hardware throughput analyses; prepare MTBF/MTTR analyses.

- Required Capabilities: Prepare functional requirements and specifications for hardware acquisitions; analyze and document practical hardware designs; ensure effective problem identification and resolution; assist with installation guides and troubleshooting guides; conduct site surveys; develop installation schedules; train site personnel; prepare engineering plans and site installation of Technical Design Packages; prepare drawings documenting as-built configurations; configure hardware and networking equipment; organize multi-site hardware installations; design test harnesses; analyze hardware for project-specific needs; support simulations and throughput analyses; analyze reliability metrics.
- Desired Capabilities: Experience with antenna and antenna subsystems.
Clearance
- Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph; U.S. Citizenship.
