Job Description

Senior Electrical Engineer, reporting to the Manager of Instrument and Control/Electrical, to join the Electrical and Instrumentation team based in Houston, Texas, USA. Responsible for producing and supporting the development of electrical deliverables on projects, including one-line diagrams, load lists, electrical power studies, area classifications, schematics and wiring design; lighting, power, grounding, cable tray plans, and specification of electrical equipment such as Motor Control Centers and Switchgear in Petrochemical Plants.

• Support a team of Electrical Engineers and Electrical Designers on PDP, FEED and Detail Engineering Projects
• Monitor and advise the Lead Engineer of major project changes
• Report progress and update schedules
• Prepare project scope deviations documentation as required
• Research suitable technical solutions
• Review vendor documents
• Independently evaluate selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems to efficiently meet project objectives
• Apply standard engineering design tasks and demonstrate working knowledge of applicable codes
• Review and generate design data and deliverables from various inputs
• Perform the more sophisticated and complicated designs in accordance with established company standards
• Coordinate details and miscellaneous design criteria with other disciplines
• Prepare and/or review and check documents and drawings as required

Qualifications

• 5+ years in LNG, Energy Transition, Carbon Capture, Refining and/or Petrochemical Plant Engineering/Design
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
• EIT/FE
• PE in the state of Texas preferred
