We’re seeking a responsible, highly focused Director of Engineering to support and lead our engineering team.

Responsibilities include:

• Ongoing repair and maintenance of hotel and F&B facilities, including building structure, mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment, following energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs.
• Maintaining effective energy management; seeking energy-efficient solutions and innovative projects.
• Leading, mentoring, and coordinating activities of the engineering staff to maintain and repair the physical structure promptly and efficiently.
• Conducting departmental meetings, performance evaluations, and fostering team development to ensure standards are met.
• Overseeing departmental budget, including forecasting, budgeting, and capital planning.
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws and building codes.
• Leading the hotel’s Fire Safety & Emergency Evacuation Teams.

About You...
Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in a senior Engineering role, with at least 5 years in a managerial position.
Bachelor’s Degree or related technical qualification preferred.
Prior hospitality experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of OSHA requirements and chemical storage regulations.
LEED-GA certification or willingness to obtain within the first year.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Flexible to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.

Salary Range: $125K-$140K
This position is based in Los Angeles, CA.
