In this role, you will be working directly with customers as a technical account owner to drive revenue through the adoption of QNX software and services as part of the North American Sales team. You will be the key technical resource on the team, working in pre- and post-sales capacity, owning customer technical relationships, advising customers in design decisions, and representing QNX at regional events, trade shows, and webinars.

Responsibilities

  • Be the face of the company, acting as a liaison between customers and QNX R&D, Engineering Services, and Product Management.
  • Provide technical expertise and knowledge of QNX solutions to customers and prospects in pre-sales and post-sales capacity.
  • Support the wider sales team in a technical and consultative manner, including analyzing customer design requirements and offering feasibility/scope assessments.
  • Manage the customerโ€™s technical requirements from development through commercial release.
  • Build and maintain positive customer (technical staff) relations to encourage new development projects and upgrades.
  • Deliver pre-sales software development work (demos, benchmarking, environment setup, etc.).
  • Prepare and present technical material to customers on-site or virtually and represent QNX at regional events and webinars.
  • Develop and maintain a technical knowledge base of competitive intelligence and provide recommendations to Marketing and Sales on technical requirements to improve customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience interfacing between customers and engineering.
  • Demonstrated software development, design and architecture experience with embedded systems, real-time programming, or similar low-level programming with C, Assembly, or C++.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar, or equivalent meaningful experience.
  • Working in Linux development environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Industrial or Medical sector experience is a plus.
  • Technical experience in RTOS solutions from competitors such as Wind River, Green Hills, or similar vendors is an asset.
  • Broad knowledge of high-tech and the embedded industry, awareness of current marketing concepts, and strong business management and leadership skills.
  • Business travel required as needed, averaging 25% of the time.

Employment details

  • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
  • Compensation Base Range: $141,000 - $188,000 USD
  • Bonus: The BlackBerry Sales Incentive Pay (SiP) program is a bonus incentive program tied to sales performance against quotas.
