Overview
TCOM LP has an opportunity for a Systems Reliability Engineer with experience related to reliability and risk management analysis to join our Systems Engineering organization. The scope of the position requires a proven track record in a lead role in the development of requirements for multi-segment (hardware/software/network) subsystems for Airborne Surveillance & Communication Solutions on accredited programs. This position is contingent upon project award.
Responsibilities
- The Systems Engineer will represent Systems Engineering as a key team member of the program under the direction of the Systems Engineering Director. Identify key issues and address them with optimal technical solutions.
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analyses, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems at all levels of the product lifecycle (concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal).
- Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Secondary responsibilities include Reliability Prediction Analysis, Reliability Allocations, Parts De-Rating and Application, Reliability Block Diagrams and Systems Interfaces, FRACAS (Failure Reporting and Corrective Action Process), Stress Analysis, Reliability Modeling, Design Assurance Analysis, Failure Diagnostics and Data/Trend Analysis, Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA).
- Familiar with MIL-HDBK-338B Electronic Reliability Design Handbook and Army TM 5-698-4 Failure Mode Effects and Criticality; position will require application of most or all of these elements.
- Support the Logistics Product Support Group as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of relevant experience; or Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Working knowledge in system-level development, requirements definition, analysis, and risk mitigation for complex systems used on accredited programs.
- Experience with Verification and Validation requirements.
- Experience supporting new business pursuits and proposals efforts is required.
- Experience developing systems and engineering processes and procedures is a plus.
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills for interfacing with senior management and customers, as well as mentoring of other engineers.
- Must be able to receive a favorable eligibility determination for access to Secret information. Active Secret Clearance preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
In compliance with state and local laws, the salary range for this role is $110,000 to $140,000. The range provided is a general guideline and good faith estimate representative of all experience levels but is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
