The Strategic Talent Advisor (STA) helps align the Company’s people strategy with the business strategy. The STA is a strategic partner for the business, as well as an administrative expert and a people champion. The STA sets priorities, drives values and delivers business results.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively partners with leaders to strategically identify company-wide human resources goals and objectives aligned with business goals. Focuses on the existing workforce and preparing them for the future to ensure the health of the workforce. Serves as an expert in company strategy, business priorities, and Employee Relations; oversees development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures to ensure HR compliance with applicable regulations including FLSA, ADAAA, FMLA, and Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Oversees annual and ongoing goals and objectives to assess business needs and align HR strategies and action plans; manages, mentors, and coaches the HR staff.
  • Supports execution of the Company’s strategy by co-designing and implementing a business-aligned people agenda that delivers measurable value and an exemplary experience for team members.
  • Co-develops and implements HR policies, procedures, and practices; oversees execution of general HR programs including performance management, employee experience, HR compliance, and employee relations.
  • Partners with other HR functions (Legal, Shared Services, Talent Acquisition, HRIS, Comp & Benefits, Academy of Learning & Development) to coordinate efforts.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Does not have direct reports but works as a coach, partner and advisor to the Solutions Consultant team to drive results.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; MBA valued but not required.
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years in increasingly responsible HR leadership roles in a collaborative, fast-paced, service-oriented, consultative environment, preferably in a timeshare setting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in HR, preferably in timeshare.
  • Extensive experience managing union negotiations and contracts.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and driving HR strategies; defining and implementing detailed HR business processes; strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Discretion, integrity, judgment, responsiveness, attention to detail and common sense.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws (e.g., ADA, FMLA, Wage & Hour) and HR policies, staffing, employee relations, strategic planning, and training & development.
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to work with all staff levels, from front-line to senior executives.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and negotiate with multiple business leaders across locations and business units.
  • Collaborative, action-oriented leadership with strong influencing skills; a change agent who can build cross-regional relationships.
  • Proactive, hands-on, willing to roll up sleeves to get the job done; operationally focused with strategic thinking and tactical delivery.
  • Analytics-driven with a track record of using data to solve problems and develop solutions.
  • Solid PC skills with proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
