Assistant Vice President/Vice President of Business Development – Digital Solutions & IT Talent


We are seeking a dynamic, tenacious, and strategic leader to nurture strong relationships and lead the charge for additional expansion of our Digital, Talent, and AI capabilities. This strategic leadership role is designed for a self-starter with a proven track record in Business-to-Business (B2B) sales, particularly within the technology solution and staffing sectors. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and a dedicated relationship builder who loves to facilitate discussions to drive solutions that deliver innovation, creativity, and quality in each interaction. Successful Ascendum AVPs and VPs tend to have 10-15 years of sales experience with an existing network.


Key Responsibilities



  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to penetrate new markets and expand our footprint in existing accounts.

  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with C-suite executives and key decision-makers to become a strategic partner in their digital transformation journeys.

  • Solution Architecture: Collaborate with internal teams to design and deliver tailored Digital Solutions and IT Talent strategies that address client-specific challenges and objectives.

  • Market Intelligence: Monitor and have a point of view on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align proactive proposals and business development efforts with organizational goals and capabilities.

  • Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of business development initiatives and adjust strategies accordingly.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Communications, or a related field.

  • Experience in B2B sales within the Digital Solutions and/or IT Staffing industries, with a proven ability to close multi-million-dollar deals.

  • Curiosity and avid learning approach to learn and use emerging technology.

  • Self-starter eager to drive solution selling at the intersection of design and trusted data.

  • Demonstrated success in leading sales teams and driving revenue growth through innovative business development strategies.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and sales analytics tools to manage pipelines and forecast sales effectively.

  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 25% or more) to meet with clients and attend industry events.
