Overview
Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist – Mortenson
Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist who will serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, supporting business objectives and building business relationships.
Responsibilities
- Act as Customer Relationship Manager for assigned business groups
- Develop and update staffing priorities
- Design and implement sourcing initiatives to attract and engage top‑tier talent aligned with organizational goals.
- Conduct weekly customer relationship meetings and update staffing reports
- Source and staff open positions, recruit diverse candidates
- Work with hiring managers on recruitment and selection plans
- Negotiate and manage external recruiting resources
- Conduct reference checks and establish employment offers
- Develop talent sourcing approaches (direct recruiting, job fairs, internet recruiting)
- Refer team members to appropriate headquarters services (benefits, issue resolution, drug and alcohol‑free program)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field
- Minimum seven years recruiting/HR experience or a combination of higher education and experience
- Demonstrated willingness to learn the business and develop deep understanding of roles to identify and attract top‑tier talent
- Ability to recommend hiring decisions to upper management
- Proficiency in PC and widely used software packages (Excel, MS Word, HRIS/database)
- Active listening skills and effective communication, openness to diverse input and feedback
- Ability to travel up to 25%

Pay & Location
The base pay range for this role is $94,500 - $141,800. Actual range is higher for Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; and Washington, D.C. The position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
