Senior eDiscovery Technical Advisor

Responsibilities

  • Identify, preserve, collect, process, and produce electronically stored information (ESI) in support of civil, criminal litigation, FOIA requests, Congressional requests, and other inquiries.
  • Provide criminal discovery support, including unique handling of criminal cases.
  • Act as expert technical user of eDiscovery applications: Enterprise Vault, Discovery Accelerator, Legal Hold Management Tool (LHMT), and the Veritas eDiscovery Platform.
  • Collaborate with the litigation team to develop discovery plans documenting search parameters such as date range, keywords, and custodians.
  • Collect data from various FBI IT systems (e.g., MS‑Exchange servers, shared drives, desktops, text and instant messages) in accordance with discovery plans to support attorneys, paralegals, and case agents.
  • Analyze search/collection results for data gaps and administer data inputs into an electronic discovery review platform (eDP), ensuring production quality, Bates numbering, and load file creation.
  • Coordinate collection results with FBI units responsible for review, redaction, and release.
  • Provide training and technical assistance on agency electronic discovery software to attorneys, paralegals, and end‑users.
  • Document electronic discovery plans and procedures, facilitate legal hold requests, and support ad‑hoc end‑user requests.

Qualifications

  • 5 (five) years of eDiscovery/litigation support experience with a focus on client solutions.
  • 3 (three) years of progressively more responsible experience on major litigation support projects.
  • 2 years in Relativity, beyond document review coding.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with both technical teams and non‑technical business leaders.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
  • Experience with all realms of the EDRM (File to Trial).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (active clearance).
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience (JD highly desired).
