🚀 Patent Prosecution Engineering Associate

Barnes & Thornburg LLP is seeking a Patent Prosecution Engineering Associate to join our firm and highly regarded, nationally ranked Intellectual Property Department.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications. A degree and background in mechanical engineering is required.

Candidate Qualifications

• 1-3 years of patent prosecution experience required
• Strong background in drafting and prosecuting patent applications
• Mechanical engineering degree required
• Registered and in good standing with the USPTO
• Admitted to practice in Georgia or eligible for admission to the state bar

Preferred Experience

• Managing patent portfolios
• Preparing patent opinion letters
• Advising on non-infringement and invalidity issues
• Conducting patent due diligence for corporate transactions and M&A matters
