Overview
San Francisco, CA – department at the direction of the court; interpret between languages in court proceedings; bring to the court's attention any items that may impede the interpreters' performance; research and understand legal terminology used in court and functions of the court; receive daily calendar assignments from the San Francisco Superior Court Interpreter Supervisor and accurately complete daily activity logs, or other documentation as required; perform other language interpretation duties as assigned, as a "Certified Court Interpreter" issued by the Judicial Council of California on behalf of the State of California.

Responsibilities
- Provide interpretation in court proceedings and assist with language access.

- Identify and communicate any items that may impede interpreters' performance.
- Research and understand legal terminology used in court and functions of the court; perform other language interpretation duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- One year of the equivalent of full-time experience acting as an interpreter-translator in a courtroom or in a business environment.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and functions used in court.
- Proficiency in English and Cantonese, including correct usage of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
