Veteran Firm Seeking a Senior Policy Advisor for an Onsite Assignment in Washington, DC

HRUCKUS is looking for an experienced Senior Policy Advisor to provide temporary staff support services to the DC Department of Health.

Position Description

The Senior Policy Advisor maintains productive relationships with Governmental Departments, Congress, and their staff to advance the interests of the District of Columbia Government. This role involves representing the DC Government, providing policy research and analysis on federal activities, and offering direct federal affairs policy and relationship management to DC agencies.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain productive and meaningful relationships with members of the public, Governmental Departments, Congress, and their staff.
• Represent the DC Government and its interests to other DC-based non-governmental organizations, associations, and other relevant stakeholder groups.
• Assist in providing policy research, analysis, and programming of issues on current and emerging DC government and federal activities.
• Assist in providing direct federal affairs policy and relationship management to support DC agencies in meeting policy implementation objectives.

Position Requirements

• 8-10+ years of experience in policy analysis, federal affairs, or a related role within a government setting.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships with government departments and stakeholders.
• Strong background in policy research and analysis related to federal and local government activities.
• Experience in federal affairs policy and relationship management.
