This role requires strong accounting/finance background, experience in budgeting and financial management, and a CPA (highly desired). Travel up to 50% may be required.
Responsibilities
- Lead client engagements in higher education strategy and operations with a focus on finance, accounting, and budgeting.
- Plan, shape and deliver technology-enabled solutions that align with client goals, missions and vision.
- Mentor junior staff on engagements and build long-standing client partnerships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive organizational effectiveness and performance improvement.
- Develop and communicate clear recommendations and action plans to senior client stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required- U.S. work authorization
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
- Significant experience in accounting and finance roles within consulting or higher education
- Experience as a Program Controller, Accountant, Auditor, Assurance, or Financial Reporting
- Experience in budgeting and financial management
- Experience in business strategy, operations & performance improvement
- Passion for higher education
- Ability to travel up to 50% annually; willingness to work extended hours as necessary
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree
- Previous consulting experience
Compensation & Benefits
Estimated base salary range: $130,000 – $175,000. Total compensation including annual incentive opportunity ranges up to $218,750. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and wellness programs. Salary ranges are subject to applicable state and local laws and may vary based on factors such as skills, experience and travel requirements.
