Key Responsibilities

  • As a Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) for PS MIA, you will serve as a strategic partner for senior and departmental leadership, providing comprehensive HR support and guidance across various operational levels.
  • Your role involves analyzing workforce trends, developing HR solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advocating for our employees, work roles, and company values.
  • You'll offer performance management support, foster positive work environments, and address employee relations issues.
  • The position requires strong problem-solving skills to manage complex situations and conduct thorough investigations.
  • You'll be instrumental in workforce planning, policy interpretation, and identifying training needs.
  • Collaborating with the HR Team and other departments, you'll contribute to strategic program development and partner with Talent Acquisition to attract and retain high-quality, diverse talent that aligns with PS's long-term success.
  • This HR leadership position will be a member of the PS MIA management committee and will be integral to our opening at MIA in 2026. This role reports to the Corporate HR Manager, working in collaboration with the Managing Director PS MIA.

Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Consult with the Managing Director MIA, Directors, and Managers onsite providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR Manager to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to Managers and Directors of Operations, Hospitality, and F&B (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Work closely with Managers and Associates to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide consultation and support to Managers on Employee relations issues and applicable company policies.
  • Manage and resolve complex Employee relations issues and conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of the workforce, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provide information about benefits, training, and other Human Resources programs.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Provide guidance and input on workforce management.
  • Identify training needs for business and individual coaching needs.
  • Collaborate with the HR Team and cross-functional teams to ensure onsite needs are met and assist in the development of strategic programs.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure that PS attracts high-quality diverse team members and managers who will contribute to PS’s long-term success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in HR, business or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role with strong Employee Relations knowledge.
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
  • Preference for prior HR experience in luxury hospitality or luxury retail industries with pre-opening/grand opening experience.
  • Ability to effectively coach, develop, and lead people.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while delivering high quality results in a changing environment.
  • Ability to influence and interact with all levels of management and associates while maintaining collaborative partnerships.
  • Ability to evaluate, analyze, and resolve complex problems.
  • SHRM Certified Professional or SHRM Senior Certified Professional credential preferred.
