Overview

The Executive Director oversees the University's revenue-generating real estate assets, leads leasing, property management, and marketing, and directs financial and operational analysis for all University real estate activities. The incumbent manages an extensive portfolio of leases, licenses, and management agreements for a variety of property types, including multi-family, retail, office, land, and telecommunications. The objective is to maximize the value of the portfolio in support of the University's mission and strategic priorities, including advancing world-class, diverse faculty and cultivating community.

Responsibilities

The Executive Director:

• Oversees leasing, property management, and related marketing activities.
• Directs financial and operational analyses for all University real estate activities.
• Manages a portfolio of leases, licenses, and management agreements across multiple property types.
• Leads asset management to increase efficiency and improve rental operations through analytics and property technology.
• Provides technical leadership to a team of real estate professionals (analysts, salespersons, property managers).
• Collaborates with campus partners (Facilities Management & Operations, Medical Campus leadership, General Counsel, Risk Management, Government and Community Relations) and external partners (brokers, attorneys, property managers, real estate specialists).
• Reports to the Associate Vice President for Real Estate and guides department goals.

Required Skills

MBA strongly preferred.
