Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Director to join our fast-paced Accounting and Finance team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who is not afraid to dive in and take charge of our tax department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of a diverse portfolio of clients, mentoring and developing staff, conducting detailed tax reviews, and researching complex tax issues. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive individual who is ready to "roll up their sleeves" and contribute where needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse book of business, ensuring all tax obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner.
• Mentor and develop staff, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.
• Conduct detailed reviews of tax returns and financial statements.
• Research and resolve complex tax issues, providing expert advice to both clients and staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure all financial objectives are met.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of current tax laws and regulations, ensuring the company remains in compliance.
• Assist in other areas as needed, demonstrating a willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and contribute to the team's overall success.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years\' experience in a senior tax role within the Accounting and Finance industry.
• Proven experience managing a diverse book of business.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to review complex financial data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent research skills, with a proven ability to resolve complex tax issues.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and staff.
• A proactive attitude, with the willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and contribute where needed.
• An in-depth understanding of current tax laws and regulations.
• Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is preferred.
