Job Scope
The Director of Facilities & Infrastructure Management will lead the strategy, centralization, and optimization of facilities operations across all aerospace manufacturing sites. This role ensures the effective planning, construction, and operational excellence of physical infrastructure, while maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance. As a key member of the Integrated Operations & Transformation team, this leader will drive initiatives to standardize infrastructure practices, enhance cost efficiency, and support long-term business scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a centralized facilities management strategy aligned with enterprise goals.
- Lead infrastructure lifecycle management including planning, design, construction, and ongoing maintenance.
- Drive modernization and efficiency initiatives across all facilities.
- Oversee the design, planning, and execution of construction and renovation projects.
- Lead the contractor selection process ensuring quality, cost, and schedule compliance.
- Ensure timely and budget-conscious project delivery in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards including oversight of insider threat and Facility Security Officer (FSO) programs.
- Lead implementation and ongoing maintenance of physical security systems (e.g., access control, surveillance).
- Establish and maintain standardized facility security protocols, including emergency response planning and testing.
- Develop and implement best-in-class preventive maintenance programs.
- Lead facility inspections, testing, and documentation efforts to ensure quality and safety.
- Manage and monitor performance metrics to track infrastructure health and drive continuous improvement.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing, cross-functional facilities team.
- Collaborate with Engineering, EHS, IT, and Manufacturing to support business continuity and readiness.
- Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on facility-related strategy and decisions.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in facilities or infrastructure leadership roles within aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries.
- Proven experience leading multi-site operations and large capital projects.
- Strong understanding of physical security, insider threat programs, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizational transformation and optimize complex systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Location & Travel
Multiple locations across the United States. Up to 25% travel required.
