Soni is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to conduct a search for a Finance Director Consultant to support key financial projects on a short-term basis. The consultant will take ownership of building and implementing a 13-week cash flow forecast and a SKU-level cost and profitability model. This is a hands-on role requiring strong analytical skills, exceptional Excel modeling ability, and a solid understanding of FP&A fundamentals within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a 13-week cash flow forecast from the ground up
• Build SKU-level cost and profitability models (materials, labor, overhead)
• Design and automate Excel-based reporting tools and dashboards
• Partner with finance leadership to analyze trends, identify insights, and improve financial visibility
• Support the buildout of financial processes that can be maintained by the internal team post-engagement
• Ensure accuracy, structure, and clarity in all models and analyses

Requirements

• Proven experience in FP&A or financial analysis, preferably in manufacturing, food, or CPG industries
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including model creation, data automation, and scenario analysis
• Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting and cost modeling
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with senior leadership

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ERP systems (SAP Business One or similar)
• Exposure to DataRails or similar FP&A platforms
• Background in cost accounting or SKU-level financial analysis

Compensation

$90 - $100 /hr
