🚀 Risk & Control Manager

Overview

Risk & Control Manager – 6 Months contract extension. McLean, VA On-site M-F. Interview Type: In Person. The client is focused on candidates with capital markets experience, as well as experience within risk management, operations, and audit.

Responsibilities

• The contract worker will assist the Risk & Control Manager to deliver the following:
• Identify and assess relevant risks in a business.
• Identify, develop, and document appropriate controls that mitigate risks to the acceptable level.
• Assist in preparation and documentation for Quarterly Risk Control Self-Assessments for relevant business areas.
• Assist in assessing backlog of Compliance obligations that includes completing assessments and identifying and mapping applicable controls.
• Assist in activities related to transition to the new GRC Tool.

Required qualifications

• Risk & Control Manager
• GRC tools (client is using Wise)
• 5+ years of experience with a background in Operational Risk Management and Governance
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• MS Excel skills
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to produce concise, detailed and insightful documents
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Not looking for PM
