Role: Chief Advisory Officer (CAO) to join the C-suite and help lead the next chapter of growth. This is a unique opportunity to guide a high-performing team of Wealth Managers, shape firm strategy, and foster a culture of excellence across the organization.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead & develop a high-performing advisory team.
- Define and evolve the Wealth Manager role and performance standards.
- Provide strategic coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
- Partner with the CEO/COO in leadership decisions and C-suite planning.
- Advocate for advisory team needs and innovation in service offerings.
- Champion the firm’s values and communicate the mission across all levels.
- Help guide the firm through industry trends, change, and growth.
- Identify staffing needs and define ideal candidate profiles.
- Lead hiring, onboarding, and integration of new Wealth Managers.
- Track and report on team performance, needs, and opportunities.
- Support Wealth Managers with complex client needs, transitions, and problem-solving.
- Mediate and strengthen key relationships with clients, their families, and external partners.
- Collaborate on investment strategy, portfolio reviews, and COI engagement.
- Lead by example in client service and crisis resolution.
- Help advisors grow their books and improve client engagement.
- Serve as liaison between Wealth Managers and Marketing/BD teams.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in the RIA or wealth management space, with proven success in people management, portfolio oversight, and client relationship leadership.
- Exceptional communication and listening skills—you lead with empathy and clarity.
- High emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and the ability to manage through conflict with professionalism.
- Strong strategic thinking and a natural problem-solver who thrives in collaborative environments.
- A passion for growing others, driving innovation, and making a positive impact.
