CLA is growing and seeking to hire an experienced Manager/Director – National Exempt Tax to join our firm. The position offers growth, opportunities for advancement, flexibility and a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve tax-exempt clients in the Healthcare, Higher Ed, and Nonprofit industries in a high-impact manner, demonstrating command of a major area of specialization.
• Demonstrate deep technical skills and have related industry knowledge.
• Excel at engagement management and operational excellence.
• Assist clients with meeting their tax and day-to-day compliance needs.
• Research and draft technical tax memoranda on various tax issues for clients.
• Review and sign a variety of exempt organization returns and serve as a subject-matter expert when appropriate.
• Develop and mentor staff and oversee client engagement teams.

What You Will Need :

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 6 years of experience serving in a tax role with public accounting and/or professional services firm
• Experience specializing in tax-exempt organizations preferred
• CPA required (JD or Enrolled Agent may be accepted in lieu of CPA certification)
