🚀 Director Project Finance (Nuclear)

Overview

Viridan Group is partnered with a well funded developer of Nuclear SMRs that is looking to hire a Director Project Finance to advance their commercialization efforts from screening to execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead project financing strategy, including capital structuring, funding approaches, and engagement with institutional investors and public-private partners.
• Direct financial modeling and scenario analysis to evaluate project performance, optimize deal structure, and support investment decisions.
• Develop and manage partnership and ownership structures—such as joint ventures and project entities—to enable effective project execution and funding.
• Create and refine analytical tools and governance frameworks to assess potential customers and counterparties during early and late-stage development.
• Establish and oversee qualification processes for prospective offtakers across utilities, industrial clients, and large power users pursuing reliable, low-carbon energy solutions.
• Analyze customer financial strength, operational profile, and regulatory positioning to inform commercial strategy and contract negotiations.
