Responsibilities

• Facilitating and delivering annual department strategy and KPIs
• Developing and leading the quarterly planning process
• Leading moderate to large complex projects and programs
• Designing, developing, and managing project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements
• Ensuring projects are documented appropriately to mitigate risk and to be delivered on time
• Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent
• Leveraging process design techniques to build and improve operating mechanisms for the department and executing on those through self and others
• Partnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project and process delivery
• Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
• Demonstrating a proven track record of excellent project management, with the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic environment
• Displaying a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates through their leadership
• Maintaining excellent communication and partnership skills essential for interacting with stakeholders at all levels to manage, inform and influence outcomes

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
• At least 8 years of Project Management experience
• At least 1 year of People Management experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree (MBA or other)
• 10+ years of Project Management experience
• 3+ years of People Management experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
• Excellent problem solving and influencing skills
• 3+ years in a Risk Management Organization
• 2+ years of data risk management exposure

Compensation and Benefits

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated. Locations include Riverwoods, IL; McLean, VA; New York, NY; Richmond, VA, with pay ranges shown for each location. This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives. Capital One offers a comprehensive benefits package; eligibility varies by status and level.

Riverwoods, IL: $155,300 - $177,200; McLean, VA: $170,800 - $194,900; New York, NY: $186,300 - $212,700; Richmond, VA: $155,300 - $177,200. Other locations will use the pay range associated with that location and the offer letter will reflect the actual amount.
