This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centeredcare while advancing academic, research, and clinical integration. The CAO/CNE serves as a keymember of the executive team, driving innovation, operational excellence, and workforce engagementacross all care settings.**Essential Functions:**1. Provide strategic direction for nursing practice, education, and research across the system.2. Ensure clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and evidence-based care delivery.3. Foster a culture of professional development, shared governance, and nursing leadership.4. Champion initiatives that improve patient outcomes, safety, and experience.5. Lead operational and administrative functions including clinical operations, support services, andstrategic initiatives.6. Collaborate with academic partners to align clinical operations with educational and researchmissions.7. Drive performance improvement, operational efficiency, and financial stewardship.8. Oversee workforce planning, talent development, and succession strategies.9. Serve as a liaison between clinical operations and academic leadership to support interdisciplinarycollaboration.10. Represent nursing and administrative interests in system-wide planning and decision-making.11. Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance care delivery, patient experience, and organizationalculture.12. Mentor and develop senior nursing and administrative leaders.13. Participate in executive governance, strategic planning, and board-level discussions.14. Ensure alignment with organizational mission, values, and strategic goals.15.
