Responsibilities

As a Store Manager you will:

• Recruit, train and develop your management team and the shop’s full staff on brand, product and service.
• Oversee all aspects of the retail business, from budgeting to exceeding sales targets, while fostering a strong customer and staff experience and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with your team to exceed daily sales goals and ensure an inclusive, welcoming environment for every visitor.
• Educate customers and staff on Lush’s brand values and public stances (e.g., Fighting Animal Testing, 100% Vegetarian, Handmade, Naked Packaging).
• Increase product knowledge and make informed recommendations for all needs.
• Use business acumen to develop and execute plans that align with the national strategy and improve KPIs.
• Coach staff through developmental plans, DEIB training, and continuous feedback to build talent and boost engagement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, anti‑harassment, and day‑to‑day procedures.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and visual merchandising to support sales and store presentation.
• Schedule staff, manage labor cost and payroll accuracy, and maintain flexible coverage for holidays, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3‑5 years of retail management experience.
• Strong HR skills: hiring, scheduling, training, conflict resolution, performance management.
• Excellent listening, communication, analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, organizational, and time‑management skills.
• Strong customer service, supervisory and sales abilities.
• Knowledge and interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
• Preferred: experience with consultation‑based customer service, positive coaching, proven staff career development, proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Suite, cross‑cultural collaboration, DEIB or social‑justice training, and fluency in Spanish, French or other languages.

Salary

Burlington Pay: $61,950 USD – $61,950 USD.
