Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to support a large‑scale ARMY program. This role will cover Army‑to‑Army cyber/network engagements with assigned countries throughout the Pacific and will build and man a Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) position for exercise and real‑world events. The position is on‑site in Honolulu, HI.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Certifications in active status: CCNP, SecurityX, or GSLC
- Proven track record of designing and implementing secure, scalable DoD enterprise networks (classified and unclassified)
- Advanced technical expertise in VMware, VOIP phones, Microsoft Teams, and Windows Server systems
- Expertise with network architecture, firewall policy, routing protocols, QoS, cloud‑enablement strategies, and cross‑domain solutions
- Experience performing Tier 3 O&M support, configuration, and engineering for large‑scale military networks
- Deep knowledge of DoD architecture frameworks, RMF, and PACAF‑specific mission demands
- Ability to provide: - System Design Plan (SDP) including project drawings, floor plans, rack elevations, and shelf configurations
- Details of all cable runs (fiber, copper, power, grounding) in spreadsheet form
- Site preparation actions (facilities, power, grounding, bounding)
- Systems Integration Test (SIT) and Systems Acceptance Test (SAT) plans, test results, and implementation schedule
 
- Excellent communication skills; outstanding customer service, team building, and consensus‑building abilities
- Self‑motivated with the ability to stay focused, organized, and plan work independently or collaboratively in a rapidly changing environment
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail, accuracy, and consistent follow‑through
- Proven ability to: - Exercise discretion and independent judgment when handling situational occurrences
- Provide technical support across secure and non‑secure networks
- Work with senior leaders in a Joint Operations Center, demonstrating polished technical skills and a professional mindset
 
Compensation
- $125,000 – $145,000 (depending on experience)
- Health, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401(k), Holidays, Sick Leave (as required by law)
