Remote (United States), Full-time
Salary Range: $85k - $93k, depending on experience
Job Summary
The Compensation Analyst is responsible for the administration and day-to-day management of the company’s equity programs (including ESPP, RSUs, and stock options) with a strong emphasis on operating and optimizing the equity platform. The role also provides ongoing support to company-wide compensation initiatives, data analytics, and employee communications. Success in this role requires both technical acumen in compensation and compliance, as well as a people-first approach to employee guidance and education.
Responsibilities
- Equity Administration & Compliance: Serve as a daily administrator of the company’s equity compensation platform, responsible for accurate grant processing, participant transactions, vesting schedules, and reporting.
- Ensure equity transactions (grants, exercises, releases, ESPP enrollments and purchases) comply with plan provisions, SEC and IRS guidelines, and public company reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Payroll, and external vendors to support equity and ESPP audits, reconciliations, and preparation of compensation tables for proxy/CD&A disclosures.
- Employee Communications & Education: Act as the go-to resource for employee questions regarding equity and ESPP; deliver trainings and develop user guides, FAQs, or other educational materials to increase plan understanding and engagement.
- Coordinate and execute annual equity and ESPP offering cycles, supporting communications and reminders for enrollments, purchases, and open offering periods.
- Compensation Analysis & Program Management: Conduct compensation benchmarking and analysis to support decisions on base pay, bonuses, and LTI.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize compensation data to support annual merit cycle, bonus allocation, and executive/board reporting.
- Participate in compensation program design, supporting HRBPs, business units, and leadership with pay-related analytics and recommendations.
- Produce recurring dashboards and ad hoc reports for HR and leadership team; identify improvements to compensation systems and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, with significant exposure to public company equity administration and ESPP management.
- Advanced skills in Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling) and data analytics tools.
- Hands-on experience with an equity management platform; experience with SEC filings, equity plan documentation, and compliance strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills; ability to explain complex technical topics to a broad, non-technical employee audience.
- Strong attention to detail; ability to manage data confidentiality and operate independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- CEP (Certified Equity Professional) or similar designation.
- Experience with analytics/reporting software.
- Prior experience supporting annual proxy statement preparation and other public company reporting requirements.
