About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the Public Library. The CAO will play a pivotal role in the organization, overseeing a range of non-traditional library divisions and administrative functions. This includes managing grant development and implementation, leading special projects, and strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will be a critical thinker with strong decision-making, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Applicants for the CAO position at the Public Library should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 5 years’ of experience in department‑wide budget programs or operational services, including 3 years’ in a supervisory role. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in business case development, strategic planning, reengineering, and performance measurement. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to influence and advise at the executive level, and to work with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve departmental goals.
