Our company, a leading firm in the construction industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Finance to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our financial strategic planning, capital markets, and M&A activities. This position is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned finance professional with a background in the construction industry to contribute to our company's strategic growth and financial health.
Responsibilities
- Leading all aspects of financial operations, including financial planning and modeling, capital strategies, and financial reporting.
- Managing our company's capital markets activities, including funding and recapitalization efforts.
- Overseeing M&A activities, from due diligence to integration, to ensure successful outcomes.
- Developing and implementing robust financial strategies and systems that align with our company's objectives.
- Partnering with other executives to provide strategic financial leadership and support on potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Building and leading a high-performing finance team, including talent development and performance management.
- Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Providing insightful financial data analysis to inform decision-making across the company.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in capital markets, funding and recapitalization, financial planning and modeling, and capital strategies.
- Extensive experience with M&A activities, including due diligence and integration.
- Strong knowledge of financial operations and reporting, as well as FP&A.
- Demonstrated ability in talent development and team leadership.
- Exceptional analytical skills and a strategic mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong understanding of the construction industry, including its unique financial challenges and opportunities.
