About the Team
The Communications Product Team builds integrated platform capabilities and seamless experiences for travelers, partners, and Expedia Group employees. With a customer‑first focus, we create products that foster loyalty and repeat business, collaborating across the organization to drive growth and measurable outcomes.
Join the Core Platform & Experiences organization as a Senior Product Manager on the Universal Messaging Platform (UMP) team. You will lead product strategy and execution for AI‑driven messaging capabilities that power outbound communications—email, push, SMS, and inbox—across multiple brands and 40+ languages. In a small, high‑impact team, you will build scalable tooling that enables communication owners to create contextual, personalized, and trusted messages to our travelers and partners. Based in Seattle, you will work closely with engineering, UX, and other product teams to define roadmaps, deliver robust platform features, and ensure messaging quality and performance at scale.
In This Role, You Will:
- Own the build pillar of Universal Messaging Platform, including tooling for message creation, localization, and quality checks across multiple channels.
- Collaborate with platform users, engineering, and UX teams to deliver customer‑centric communication tools.
- Drive integration of AI capabilities into the messaging platform.
- Manage communication creation capabilities across multiple channels (email, push, SMS, inbox).
- Conduct customer research and partner with UX leads to inform product decisions.
- Influence product strategy and roadmap in a fast‑paced, high‑visibility environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years of product management experience, ideally in communications platforms, CRM/MarTech, or email marketing.
- Strong technical background with experience collaborating closely with engineering teams.
- Proven track record delivering AI‑based product capabilities.
- Solid understanding of data fundamentals and service integration with communications platforms.
- Experience with localization and multi‑language support. Demonstrated ability to lead customer research and translate insights into actionable product requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in large global companies or platforms with global scale.
- Familiarity with outbound communication channels including email, push, SMS, inbox, and messaging apps.
- Background in marketing, product, or technical roles with strong product management skills.
- Experience collaborating with UX teams and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of platform architecture and scalable tooling design.
Compensation
The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $173,000.00 to $242,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $277,000.00, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
