Overview
Schedule includes days, nights, weekends and holidays. Location: Salt Lake City, UT. Department: Anesthesiology - CRNA. This is an external posting with a pay rate range of $200,000.00 - $226,000.00 and close date of 12/16/2025. The total compensation package includes additional benefits noted below.
Total compensation package ranges from $257,000 to $286,000 annually, including a 14.2% employer contribution to your 401(k) . A $30,000 moving stipend/sign on bonus is offered to assist relocation. Paid Time Off details include 7.6 weeks or 38 days , covering vacation, personal leave days, CME time and paid holidays. You will accrue twelve sick days annually (96 hours) , earned monthly.
For work beyond clinical duties, there is an hourly rate of $145 .
Responsibilities
- Performs preoperative evaluation by assessing staff notes, progress notes, lab work, and patient histories to determine the most appropriate anesthetic management.
- May order additional analyses, consultations, lab work, and peri-anesthetic medications as warranted.
- Monitors functioning of all equipment and induces general and/or regional anesthesia using anesthesia procedures and methods.
- Manages the anesthetic procedure by monitoring indicators such as blood pressure, heart rate, EKG, blood loss, patient position, pulmonary compliance, arterial blood gases, and related factors.
- Adjusts anesthesia procedures as required and informs other medical personnel of developments.
- Oversees recovery from anesthesia by observing indicators in surgery and post-anesthesia care; performs postoperative evaluation.
- Makes appropriate entries in staff notes, anesthesia records, and patient charts.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Work environment : Nearly continuously in office settings.
- Frequency : Often involves exposure to infectious disease, oils (air or skin exposure to cutting fluids), and hazards (moving parts, electrical current, high places, chemicals).
- Physical requirements : Nearly continuously – hearing, listening, talking, walking; Often – repetitive hand motion, standing.
Minimum Qualifications
- Certification by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
- Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Utah.
- Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills.
- CRNA certification granted after completing an AANA-approved curriculum; 24 months of concurrent practicum experience or equivalent (2 years related work may substitute for 1 year of education); and passing scores on a national exam administered by AANA.
- Bi-annual rectification contingent on continuing professional practice plus 40 hours of continuing education units.
- This position requires immunization per CDC standards; limited exemptions may be made for medical or religious reasons.
