IP & Tech Litigation Associate Attorney (2-3 years)

Our client is seeking a third-year Associate to join its IP & Technology Practice in San Francisco. This role focuses on complex litigation involving emerging technologies, including Internet law, cryptocurrency, privacy, intellectual property, and artificial intelligence. The successful candidate will work closely with a partner who leads practices in IP Litigation, Blockchain & Digital Assets, and Innovation & Artificial Intelligence, handling high-profile matters for clients across diverse industries.

• Represent clients in litigation matters involving technology, Internet law, and emerging technologies.
• Handle Internet law class actions related to consumer protection statutes.
• Manage complex commercial litigation involving cryptocurrency, blockchain, startups, and venture capital funds.
• Assist with investigations and enforcement actions from agencies such as the SEC, CFTC, DOJ, and state regulators.
• Work on privacy and data security matters, including incident response and data breach litigation under statutes like CCPA, CIPA, and BIPA.
• Litigate intellectual property disputes involving trade secrets, copyrights, trademarks, and patents.
• Address litigation issues related to artificial intelligence, including copyright and product liability.
• Handle speech‑related technology cases, including Section 230 and defamation claims.

• Minimum of two years of litigation experience.
• Strong academic performance and excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Experience drafting pleadings and briefs, conducting research, and managing discovery.
• Admission and good standing with the California Bar.
• Ability to take ownership of work and demonstrate initiative.

• Experience with technology‑related litigation, including Internet law, crypto, privacy, and AI.
• Familiarity with intellectual property disputes and complex commercial litigation.
• In‑house experience managing litigation for a technology company is a plus.
• Interest in emerging technologies such as blockchain, digital assets, and artificial intelligence.

Base pay range

$235,000.00/yr - $260,000.00/yr
