The compensation range for this role is $200,000.00/yr - $275,000.00/yr. This range is based on your skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in the life sciences sector across areas such as molecular diagnostics, genomics, immunology, biotech tools, interventional medicine, and optics.
  • Draft and prosecute patent applications with a strategic focus on business objectives.
  • Advise clients on patent portfolio development and intellectual property strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align patent strategy with commercial goals.
  • Stay current on laws and regulations governing the patent process and USPTO practice.

Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of experience in patent law, preferably with a focus on life sciences.
  • Degree in biological sciences required.
  • Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
  • Experience in the legal or business development side of biotechnology.
  • Strong understanding of the patent process and regulatory landscape.
  • Business‑minded approach to patent strategy.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Self‑motivated and team‑oriented.
