Overview
The Associate Director, Field Reimbursement, Botox Therapeutic manages and coaches a regional team of Field Access Specialists who educate healthcare professionals on AbbVie patient experience programs, focusing on access and reimbursement support. The primary responsibility is to ensure the team engages customers to understand key coverage, coding, payment, product acquisition and affordability dynamics for AbbVie products in their local geography. The role involves quarterly field rides to ensure the FAS are compliant and effectively leveraging tools and materials provided by AbbVie. The role also helps implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure all team members are compliant with AbbVie expectations and ways of working. The Associate Director must engage with internal stakeholders including Patient Services, Managed Health Care, Sales, and Access and Reimbursement hub.

Responsibilities
- Ensure team compliance with the appropriate ways of working
- Assist in the implementation of patient services access resources and programs into area execution, including identifying training needs, in-field and National/Regional meetings, to elevate regional effectiveness
- Work with peers in Market Access and Trade to understand the changing healthcare landscape and communicate appropriate information to the FAS team
- Communicate patient services and access program information to sales teams in a compliant way
- Utilize analytics tools to monitor call activity and capacity
- Develop, implement and execute effective skill development plans for direct reports; deliver coaching via field travel and meetings and optimize their ability to provide effective access to support HCPs
- Develop, monitor and advance development planning process with direct reports
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in coverage, coding, managed healthcare, and/or market access, payer account management, Field Reimbursement Manager or equivalent role
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading field teams, with coaching, management and personnel development experience
- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
- Thorough understanding of the technical payer policy processes, systems and requirements for coverage, coding and payment for specialty medicines
- Demonstrated understanding of the rules, regulations and risks associated with provision of reimbursement support services; deep technical understanding of coverage, coding, payment and distribution of specialty products
- Comprehensive understanding of Parts A, B, C and D or Medicare and related reimbursement dynamics
- Strong understanding of drug acquisition and dispensing in the neuroscience space (roles of Specialty Pharmacies, Specialty Distributors, white-bagging, etc.)
- Track record of strong leadership contributions
- Ability to drive a personal auto or company vehicle and meet safe driving requirements
- Valid driverβs license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
- HCIR credentialing requirements to gain entry into facilities and organizations in the assigned territory; you are responsible for satisfying all HCIR credentialing requirements
