The Senior Director of Infusion Business Strategy & Performance is a key enterprise leader responsible for shaping the strategic vision, driving growth, and ensuring operational excellence across Mercy’s Infusion service line — a $100M and growing business. This role serves as the strategic architect and executive champion for Mercy’s infusion operations, aligning business performance with our mission to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care. This position will report to Mercy’s Physician Enterprise Executive Team.
Responsibilities
- Work with other organizational leaders to set the strategic vision for Mercy’s Infusion business line
- Execute the strategic vision, driving growth, efficiency, and superior patient outcomes.
- Lead financial strategies and performance initiatives for entire infusion portfolio, including full P&L accountability, forecasting, and profitability optimization.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, developing financial and operational models for service expansion and innovation.
- Analyze and act on key financial drivers within infusion services to enhance sustainability and market competitiveness.
- Administer and optimize vendor partnerships, including Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and pharmaceutical contracts, ensuring cost efficiency and supply reliability.
- Support payor contract strategy and execution, aligning reimbursement models with organizational goals.
- Provide executive leadership for the Infusion operations team, maintaining ultimate accountability for team performance, engagement, and alignment with Mercy’s standards of quality and patient care.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience, with demonstrated success in healthcare operations or business strategy.
- Prior experience in infusion services required.
- Proven knowledge of drug pricing markets, GPOs, and payor contracting.
- Exceptional leadership, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of a health system.
