Responsibilities
SPA’s IT team has an immediate need for a Senior Network Administrator. The Senior Network Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of network projects primarily in the classified networks, in accordance with change management policies. The Senior Network Administrator will be responsible for staying abreast of new and future technologies and policy changes in the classified space. The Senior Network Administrator will lead a team of 2-3 technicians in the classified environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and 4 plus years of equivalent experience in IT networking (Experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
- Experienced in project management and planning, building, and implementing projects.
- Experience in implementing DISA STIGs, cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with routing protocols.
- Experience in access control lists, firewalls, load balancing, VPN technologies, enterprise wireless technologies, and other security technologies.
- Broad understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the networking field.
- Understanding of DoD and networking baselines and compliance requirements (i.e., CORA and CMMC).
- Experience configuring and implementing network access control solutions, such as Cisco ISE, in secure environments.
- Candidate must possess the ability to obtain a DoD baseline certification and relevant specific technology training within 6 months of initial employment.
- Must maintain a minimum of one DOD 8140 Cyber Workforce Qualification Program security certification.
- One or more of the following vendor-specific professional certifications is required: Cisco and Palo.
