Job Summary
The Vice President (VP) of IT Systems is responsible for the strategic leadership, development, implementation, and maintenance of all enterprise-wide IT systems and infrastructure. This executive-level role ensures that the company’s IT systems align with business objectives, support operational efficiency, maintain security and compliance, and scale with the organization’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of all IT systems, infrastructure, and operations.
- Oversee system architecture, cloud strategy, data centers, networks, enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, etc.), and cybersecurity.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of IT systems to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and implement technology solutions that support business goals.
- Manage system integration efforts across various platforms and departments.
- Lead IT governance, risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Establish and monitor IT policies, procedures, SLAs, and performance metrics.
- Supervise and develop IT systems teams, including infrastructure, application, and support staff.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and IT budgets.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their applicability to the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior or executive role.
- Proven experience managing enterprise IT systems, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, SOX, GDPR), and data governance.
- Experience with ERP, CRM, and other enterprise-level platforms.
- Effective leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to align IT strategy with business objectives in a fast-paced environment.
