🚀 Lead java Software Engineer

In This Role

• Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
• Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
• Assess and prioritize team’s current backlog and coordinate delivery timelines to meet compliance and business deliverables
• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
• Contribute to large‑scale planning of strategies
• Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in‑depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new client needs while leveraging a solid understanding of function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
• Lead projects and act as an escalation point, providing guidance and direction to less‑experienced staff

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
• 5+ years of Java experience
• 5+ years of API‑driven development experience working with remote data via SOAP, REST, and JSON
• 5+ years of experience in software development, focusing on API design, development, and integration
• 5+ years of experience with Agile, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD), and DevOps concepts

Desired Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Working knowledge of AI concepts and experience integrating with AI tools and APIs
• 3+ years’ experience in any of the following front‑end technologies: Typescript, JavaScript, JSON, CSS, Ajax, and HTML5
• 2+ years’ experience in UI development using React or Angular
• 3+ years of experience in Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) and Domain Driven Development (DDD)
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience using BDD testing frameworks (Cucumber, Karate, etc.)
• Solid understanding of web application security principles, including authentication, authorization, secure session management, encryption, and protection against common vulnerabilities
• 4+ years of experience with Azure, PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry), OpenShift, or other PaaS and cloud technologies
• 4+ years of experience with Jira, Confluence, and Draw.io
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
