Key Responsibilities
- Craft secure, high-quality Salesforce solutions tailored to business needs.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts using agile methodologies.
- Guide development teams in enhancing Salesforce applications and integrations.
- Analyze and optimize business processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Inspire and mentor junior staff, fostering their professional growth.
- Innovate by developing Salesforce prototypes and applications.
- Stay ahead of Salesforce releases and advise on their impacts.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, establishing Southpoint as a trusted advisor.
- Anticipate and resolve project risks proactively.
- Create and maintain best practices and operational procedures.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Salesforce SaaS platform technologies for government customers and stakeholders.
- Drive the creation of application and technical design documents leveraging Salesforce best practices.
- Own the architecture and design of complex Salesforce platform solution components, ensuring they meet business expectations and security requirements.
- Integrate Salesforce systems with internal and external systems using web-based API technologies and middleware tools like MuleSoft.
- Demonstrate hands‑on expertise with Apex, Lightning, Lightning Web Components, and mobile application development.
- Utilize workflows, approval processes, custom objects, validation rules, formulas, Process Builder, flows, and Data Loader.
- Work in collaboration with the Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end application life‑cycle implementation using the Salesforce platform.
- Lead functional and technical workshops, showcasing leadership in designing, delivering, testing, and deploying solutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, driving conversations with enterprise architects and stakeholders to shape the architectural vision and roadmap.
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 7 years of expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting complex Salesforce solutions.
- Familiarity with tools like VSCode, Salesforce CLI, Jenkins, Maven, Ant, and Git.
- Strong leadership and influence skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable architecture.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- A drive for quality and continuous improvement in processes and software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. Authorized to work for any U.S. employer.
Desired Qualifications
- Salesforce Architect certifications (Development Lifecycle and Deployment, Integration Architecture, Data Architecture, and Management) are a plus.
- Experience in designing and developing software components.
- Knowledge of web development (Ajax, JavaScript, SOAP, HTTP, JS Remoting, AngularJS, CSS, Bootstrap).
- Extensive experience with system configuration and meta-data migration using Change Sets.
- Expertise in Release Management, Source Control, and Deployment concepts and technologies like ANT, SFDC Metadata API, GitHub, and Azure DevOps CI/CD Pipelines.
- Ability to integrate Salesforce systems to Single Sign‑on Identity Management platforms like Okta.
- Experience as a Senior Architect in a mid to large‑sized organization with leadership in driving organizational transformation.
What We Offer
Location and compensation are competitive. The projected compensation range for this position is $170,000 to $195,000/year. Salary is just one component of our total compensation package.
