We’re seeking a Data Engineer to support a finance team focused on forecasting, reconciliation, and data-driven insights for a high-volume payments business. You’ll design and optimize SQL pipelines , build data integrations, and develop dashboards in Tableau or Qlik Sense that help connect financial and operational data.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex data problems, enjoys collaborating with finance partners, and can independently translate business needs into technical solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Build and optimize SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures across multiple data systems.
• Design and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using tools like AWS Glue or similar.
• Develop and validate data tables applying accounting logic (revenue recognition).
• Create and automate Tableau or Qlik Sense dashboards for self-service analysis.
• Support monthly forecasting and reconciliation between actuals and projections.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics roles.
• Deep expertise in SQL , data modeling, and data warehouse design.
• Experience reconciling financial or payments data across multiple systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders.
• Bonus: familiarity with AWS Glue , Python scripting , or financial data (payments, billing, transactions).

6–7 month contract with strong potential for extension
