Overview
CrossWorks Subject Matter Expert 1 role at Nisga'a CIOPS. The position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid.
Nisga'a CIOPS provides hands‑on, experienced services to civilian and DoD programs worldwide, delivering highly skilled, cleared personnel who provide services on five continents for a portfolio of customers.
Summary
The Subject Matter Expert will provide architectural oversight for the SRV6 architecture and design of the PACAF BlackCore network.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive documentation of SRV6 configurations, policies, procedures, and conduct informal training for PACAF personnel.
- Provide ongoing support for the maintenance and expansion of the BlackCore network.
- Act as a technical expert in troubleshooting and incident management during network service interruptions.
- Continuously monitor SRV6 performance, adjusting configurations for bandwidth management, application‑aware routing, and failover mechanisms.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for SRV6 environments, addressing connectivity, performance, and security issues, ensuring minimal downtime for mission‑critical operations.
- Assist the Government in the creation, consultation, revision, finalization, and submission of the deliverables for RMF, including:
- System Security Plan
- Ports Protocol Services Matrix (enclave)
- Artifacts for control validation (STIG results, Policies, Scans, Charters, etc.)
- Plan of Actions and Milestones (POAMs) and System Topology
- Collect and develop A&A artifacts in accordance with AO Office.
Qualifications
- In‑depth knowledge of various WAN technologies.
- Familiarity with DoD security standards, ATO processes, and compliance.
- Understanding of the AF Cyber architecture and PACAF MOBs and GSUs roles.
- Ability to travel to PACAF MOBs and GSUs, up to 10% of the time.
- Expert level proficiency with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and SRV6.
- Experience managing the entire network implementation process, including hardware/software upgrades and maintenance.
- Strong network security principles and cybersecurity protocols knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products and SharePoint collaborative tools.
Minimum Qualifications
- Active Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance required.
- DoD 8140, the DoD Cyber Workforce Manual: Advanced security certifications such as CISM, CISSP, CySA+, etc., or DoD 8570.1‑M certified at Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 3 (CASP+, CISA, CISSP, CCSP, etc.).
- Maintain relevant industry certification (e.g., CCIE, JCIE).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience focused on Cisco SRV6 solutions.
- Experience briefing senior leaders and large audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Anti‑Terrorist Training (Level 1) within the past year.
- SERE Training within the past 1‑2 years.
- DoD Cyber Awareness Challenge and OPSEC Awareness within the past year.
- Derivative Classification IF103.16 and Force Protection training within the past year.
Pay and Benefits
