Overview:
We are representing a highly regarded architectural practice seeking an experienced Principal Architect to lead its Orlando office. This is a full-time, in-office role (5 days a week) offering the opportunity to shape and grow a studio with a strong focus on commercial, retail, and mixed-use development projects.

What you will be doing:

• Provide strategic vision, leadership, and inspiration for the Orlando office.

• Drive client development and engagement, targeting new projects in commercial, retail, and mixed-use sectors.

• Establish and grow the studio, with goals to double developer retail sector revenue within two years and secure three large-scale projects during that time.

• Lead, mentor, and expand the architectural team while ensuring quality assurance and financial performance.

• Oversee project pursuits, pipeline, risk management, and studio profitability.

• Partner with business development and technical leaders to pursue and win new work.

• Ensure adherence to corporate standards, contracts, budgets, and quality control processes.

What you must have:

• Bachelor of Architecture required; Master’s in Architecture or Business preferred.

• Registered Architect (RA) required (does not have to be Florida).

• Minimum 15 years of progressive architectural experience, including at least 10 years functioning as a lead on complex projects.

• Proven success in business development, client relationships, and winning project pursuits.

• Strong background in commercial, retail, and mixed-use development projects (preferred).

• Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.

• Demonstrated ability to manage studio performance, growth, and profitability.
