Job Description
We are seeking a Cyber Specialist II to provide endpoint detection and response (EDR) monitoring, policy development and compliance support within secure enterprise environments. This individual will play a key role in identifying vulnerabilities, ensuring endpoint security configurations meet established standards and supporting remediation efforts.
Responsibilities
- Provide endpoint detection and response (EDR) monitoring, including policy development, tuning and enforcement for endpoint agents.
- Conduct monthly compliance scans of endpoint assets using automated tools and configuration guidelines.
- Ensure systems conform to established security baselines and technical standards.
- Perform weekly, monthly and ad hoc vulnerability scans and prepare assessment reports.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address identified findings and support remediation.
- Assist with developing, tracking and updating Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs).
- Apply technical knowledge to resolve moderately complex security issues under limited supervision.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of endpoint security processes and procedures.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools and practices.
- Familiarity with federal security configuration standards, automated compliance tools and STIG-based scanning.
- Experience performing vulnerability scans, producing reports and supporting remediation efforts.
- Understanding of POAM development and compliance tracking processes.
- Ability to work under limited supervision to resolve technical problems.
Must Haves
- Bachelorβs degree or 3+ additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into clear, actionable tasks and processes through critical thinking.
- Applicants must currently hold and maintain an active Secret clearance.
