We are committed to innovation, operational excellence, and scaling our supply chain and PLM systems to support next-generation devices and high-volume manufacturing.**Role Summary**We are seeking a strategic, hands-on senior leader to serve as the **Senior Director of Supply Chain Planning Tools Development and Architecture**. In this role, you will architect, build, and lead a global team responsible for the design, development, deployment, and lifecycle management of planning tools and systems (demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, scenario modelling, S&OP/IBP) that support Altera’s complex supply chain, manufacturing, and FPGA product ecosystem. You’ll partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Product Engineering, IT, Finance, and external partners to ensure our planning infrastructure remains flexible, scalable, and tightly aligned with business strategy, enabling rapid innovation and world-class supply chain responsiveness.**Key Responsibilities*** Define and lead the vision, roadmap and architecture for the end-to-end supply chain planning tools and platforms (demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory optimization, S&OP/IBP, scenario modelling).* Manage a global team of architects, developers, analysts and systems integrators responsible for tool development, customization, deployment, integration (ERP/APS/IBP), data models, and analytics.* Partner with business leadership (Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing Operations, Product Engineering, Finance) to translate business requirements (especially within FPGA/semiconductor manufacturing) into technical specifications, tool capabilities and scalable solutions.* Oversee the design and implementation of planning data models, scenario engines, “what-if” analytics, predictive algorithms and dashboards for real-time decision support.* Select, implement or upgrade core planning systems and modules (e.g., SAP IBP, Kinaxis RapidResponse, Anaplan, or other advanced planning systems) and integrate them into Altera’s semiconductor supply chain ecosystem—addressing long lead times, foundry/OSAT coordination, FPGA product ramps, inventory turns, risk mitigation.* Drive continuous improvement of planning tools: automate manual processes, improve tool usability, ensure data integrity, optimize performance, and implement enhancements and upgrades.* Lead change management, system governance, release management, documentation, training, and support the adoption of planning tools across global supply chain and operations.* Provide executive leadership and stakeholder reporting: deliver metrics, tool performance dashboards, business value realization (e.g., improved forecast accuracy, reduced inventory days, improved on-time delivery), and strategic insights to senior management.* Manage budget, resource allocation, vendor/consulting relationships and the lifecycle of planning tool assets (architecture, maintenance, end-of-life) in alignment with global supply chain strategy.* Ensure alignment of planning tools and systems with global manufacturing (wafer fab, packaging, test, OSATs), product launch cycles, FPGA architecture roadmaps, and supply chain risk management (e.g., alternative sourcing, capacity constraints or foundry disruptions).* Build and mentor a high‐performing team: recruiting, career development, performance management, setting goals, and driving a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.**Salary Range**The pay range below is for Bay Area California only. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance.$178,900 - $278,000 USDWe use artificial intelligence to screen, assess, or select applicants for the position.#LI-MD1### ## **Qualifications:****Minimum Requirements:*** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, or a related field.
