If you enjoy hanging out with fellow dog-lovers, join us on Saturday at our adoption events (volunteers under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult).

We always need help setting up and breaking down our crates, tents, etc.
Walk and play with the dogs (Yes, you have to clean up poop).

Public Relations

Foster

When we take on a new dog, it is our goal to immediately place him/her in a loving foster home. Foster homes are an essential part of helping the dogs by providing a stimulating and nurturing environment prior to adoption. This is the ideal situation for a rescue dog’s transition to a permanent home as it helps to develop well-mannered behavior.

The Dawg Squad is an all-volunteer animal rescue working in the Los Angeles area. We can always use another pair of hands (and imagination) for many of our activities.

About Us

The Dawg Squad rescues dogs from the streets, situations of abuse and neglect, and from the city’s high-kill animal shelters. We provide medical attention, training, rehabilitation, and foster homes until permanent adoptive homes are found. In most cases, dogs are fostered in loving volunteer homes while they await adoption. All animals have been spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. We have proudly rescued and placed over 2,200 animals in loving homes!
