Role
We are seeking a strategic and visionary leader to join our organization as Head of Global Cyber Defense and Operations . You will report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading our cybersecurity defence strategy and operations on a global scale. You will oversee a team of cybersecurity professionals and collaborate closely with other departments, playing a critical role in safeguarding our organisation’s assets, reputation, and customer trust in an increasingly complex and dynamic threat landscape.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy Contribution:
- Establish and lead the practices of Cyber Defence Centre Operations, Incident Response, Application Security, Digital Forensics, and Security Operations (NetSec & SecOps) coupled with strategic leadership to mature security architectures, enabling business and technology transformation within Securitas.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure cybersecurity measures are integrated into all facets of the organisation.
- Communicate complex security concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Act as a key interface with Legal and Privacy on cyber incidents.
Crisis Management and Response:
- Oversee and coordinate cybersecurity crisis management efforts, including developing and executing response plans for major security incidents.
Continuous Improvement of Security Posture:
- Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of security protocols and tools to anticipate and mitigate emerging threats.
- Maintain and communicate cyber security change management strategies and policies across a large‑scale enterprise‑wide digital transformation program.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage the budget and resources allocated for threat response and cyber operations, ensuring optimal use of assets to achieve cyber security objectives.
Team Management and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of highly skilled professionals who excel in their domain.
Required skills & experience
Knowledge & Experience:
- Extensive cybersecurity experience – a minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, demonstrating a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex cybersecurity projects.
- Knowledge of technological trends and developments in the area of information security and risk management.
- A good understanding of the company’s domain is an asset.
Leadership Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage diverse teams effectively.
- Proven experience in overseeing and mentoring consultants, fostering a collaborative team environment, and driving successful project delivery.
Strategic Thinking:
- Strong strategic thinking capabilities, enabling analysis of cybersecurity landscapes, anticipation of emerging threats, and provision of proactive solutions aligned with long‑term goals.
Innovative Problem Solving:
- Ability to think creatively and find innovative solutions to complex cybersecurity challenges, utilizing the latest technologies and best practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex cybersecurity concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Fluent in English, oral and written, with impeccable executive presentation skills.
- Strong work ethic, professional integrity, and the ability to handle confidential matters in a professional manner, applying appropriate judgement and maturity.
