Overview

SVA is looking for a Director to join and lead our growing Assurance Team out of our Brookfield, WI location. This role offers opportunities to refine your skills across several industries, engage in client-facing work, mentor junior staff, and contribute to a growing independent professional services firm certified as a Great Place to Work.

Role is based in Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the President and other Industry Group or Service Line Leaders to establish firm-wide strategy, goals and annual initiatives.
  • Define and execute the Assurance Service Lineโ€™s strategy for an effective and profitable service offering, including creating value propositions, conducting client needs gap assessments, developing pricing and billing strategies, and recommending service differentiators and/or new services.
  • Define target client profiles, create lead generation plans, and execute sales strategies through external and internal channels; expand branding through articles, blogs, speeches, etc., and capture Measurable Results stories from clients.
  • Meet or exceed Service Line budgeted revenue and profit goals; review activity and revise objectives with input from the President.
  • Develop strategies and metrics for new business, retention, workload alignment, capacity planning, staff scheduling, margin reporting, client service and retention, staff engagement, and cross-servicing opportunities.
  • Partner with Corporate Services leaders on go-to-market, staffing, employee development and engagement, succession planning, risk mitigation, and technology needs.

Technical Expertise

  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, developments, new technologies, and market conditions; assess opportunities to position the company and support strategic plans, including potential mergers or due diligence.
  • Ensure awareness and adherence to regulatory matters and industry standards.

Client and Community Relationships

  • Foster client relationships with a focus on end-to-end experience and value delivery; ensure effective cross-location communication and seamless handoffs between sales, relationship managers and client service teams.
  • Lead partnerships with strategic centers of influence and industry associations to build an industry-focused network.

Leadership and Staff Development

  • Prepare and support organizational change through process reviews, technology evolution, and resource optimization. All other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • Assurance Service Line members

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in business or related field required; Advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of proven leadership experience, preferably in the related field and at an executive level.
  • CPA required.
  • Position may be based in Madison or Brookfield, WI; regular travel to other offices as needed.
