Director of Leasing

Reporting

Executive Managing Director of Operations and Asset Management

Responsibilities

  • Manage the leasing process.
  • Oversee third‑party leasing brokers.
  • Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Analyze and present lease economics for prospective deals.
  • Negotiate Letters of Intent.
  • Negotiate leases and landlord work letters with in‑house legal, construction and property management teams.
  • Ensure success of full‑cycle leasing, including turnover and compliance with all lease document requirements.
  • Collaborate with Asset Management, Construction Management and Property Management to develop and refine plans, designs, cost estimates, permitting and project timelines.
  • Update and track all lease proforma/budget changes throughout negotiations.
  • Develop relationships with civic, community and government groups to support required CUPs.
  • Attend select conferences and industry events.
  • Perform routine property inspections to keep properties and suites show‑ready.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing tenants and develop new prospective tenant relationships.

Knowledge / Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or related field; graduate degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 10+ years of commercial real‑estate leasing experience and/or related experience.
  • Existing tenant relationships on which to draw.
  • Experience in financial analysis, understanding of asset‑level financial statements and demonstrated lease management metrics.
  • Knowledge of real‑estate accounting and strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of design and construction process.
  • Proficiency in Yardi, MS Office 365 (including MS Teams) and MS Excel.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple concurrent projects to achieve goals.
  • Comfortable in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Requires limited travel.
