🚀 Material Associate

Job Summary

Responsible for the receiving, storing, and issuing of supplies, including identification, counts, and processing of issued supply documents. Perform routine functions necessary for the issuance of storage boxes and the delivery of supplies, materials, and related activities.

Essential Functions

• Process transactions accurately and promptly when receiving physical goods from suppliers, returned goods from customer departments, stock replenishments, or filling customer orders.
• Execute transactions within the management system, using both PC and RF scanner technologies to ensure accuracy.
• Review and verify all documentation used throughout the process to ensure thoroughness and accuracy.
• Operate all powered and non-powered equipment safely and transport and store all goods securely to prevent damage.
• Supervise the receiving and distribution of equipment and supplies.
• Ensure that equipment and supplies are handled, stored, and maintained in a secure environment.
• Remove non-functional equipment and supplies from service and report issues to the appropriate department(s) for corrective action.
• Inspect working and storage areas to maintain clean and orderly conditions.
• Work safely, complying with all department, CHS, and OSHA safety regulations, and perform good housekeeping.
• Complete and submit daily inspection checklists when using any powered equipment (if required by the department).

Skills

Ability to work independently in patient care areas, often under stressful conditions. Capable of supporting multiple function areas during the shift.

Physical Requirements

• Lengthy periods of standing and walking.
• Frequent sitting, stooping, and stretching to perform job duties.
• Frequent pushing and/or pulling of equipment and supplies.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to attend to several stimuli simultaneously.
• Ability to maintain emotional stability under stress.
